David Copeland, Counsel

David Copeland, Counsel at Gilbert Litigators & Counselors, has over 25 years’ experience in antitrust and other complex litigation in federal and state court, including MDL and nationwide class actions. David has appeared before agencies such as the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the
New York State Antitrust Bureau.

Prior to joining GLC, David was a Partner in the Litigation Department of Kaye Scholer (now Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP), where he had first- and second- chair experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation, including briefs, oral argument, examination of fact and expert witnesses, and appeals.

David is highly regarded by clients and colleagues for his analysis of complex issues and the quality and clarity of his writing. He has often been asked by clients to prepare white papers or memoranda for internal or external use. David has also written numerous articles for law journals and other publications and was awarded a national fellowship in creative writing by Stanford University.

David is a member of the ABA Antitrust Section and the Antitrust & Trade Regulation Committee of the New York City Bar Ass’n (for which he currently serves as Co-Chair of the Milton Handler Antitrust Lecture Subcommittee).
